I've been surrounded by Hershey's Kisses for a one whole week due to my work,
Not only my office smells like chocolate,
My car smells like chocolate too!
I can see myself just tossing these little triangles one by one into my mouth for the next few weeks.
I should figure something different before I get tired of them,
Let's make them into Almond Blossom Cookies!
Ingredients (for 10 big ones)?
Dry:
1 cup of all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
Wet:
1 Egg
1/2 teaspoon of almond extract
1/2 cup of granulated sugar
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1 stick of butter (room temperature)
Afterwards:
1/2 cup of sliced almonds
10 Hershey's Kisses (milk chocolate and almond flavor)
Chocolate sauce
How?
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a big bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.
Prepare a separate bowl for the wet ingredients,
Blend the melted butter and sugar together till fluffy.
Add one egg and almond extract into the smaller bowl,
Keep blending it till well combined.
Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients,
Mix them well.
Use a spoon to scoop up the dough and transfer them on to the baking sheet,
One scoop is about half the size of a ping pong ball.
What a weird way to describe it,
But you got the idea.
Into the oven for 10 to 12 minutes,
Take out the baking sheet,
Form a circle with sliced almonds in the center of the cookie, then put one kiss chocolate in the middle.
Back to the oven for another 2 minutes or so,
Remove from the baking sheet and let it cool for about 5 minutes.
I like to eat it when it's still a little bit warm.
Served with chocolate sauce if desired.
Now I can see myself tossing these cookies one by one into my mouth for the next few days.
